Build Your First Website

Elective. Build a real webpage with HTML and CSS and publish it at a live URL. Free hosting on GitHub Pages or Netlify. The URL is your proof.

1. 1Learn the basics: write an HTML file that shows text, an image, and a link
2. 2Style the page with CSS — colours, fonts, and a layout you designed
3. 3Publish to a live URL and submit the link as proof

Build Something Physical

Elective. 3D print an object in Tinkercad, build a circuit, do woodworking, or engineer something from scratch. A photo or short video of the finished project is proof.

1. 1Choose your project and gather everything you need
2. 2Build the project and document the process with photos or video
3. 3Share the finished project and explain how it works

Write a Short Story

Elective. Write a complete story of at least 1,000 words. Share it with your teacher, post it on a class blog, or submit to a school anthology. A document link counts as proof.

1. 1Plan your story: the main character, the problem they face, and how it resolves
2. 2Write a complete first draft of at least 1,000 words
3. 3Revise and share — submit the final document or link

Write Your First Research Report

Elective. Pick a topic that interests you and write a 3–5 page report with at least 3 cited sources. Teacher or parent confirms completion.

1. 1Choose your research question and find three sources
2. 2Write a first draft with an introduction, body, and conclusion
3. 3Revise your draft and submit your final 3–5 page report with citations

Take On a Leadership Role

Elective. Run for class rep, become a club officer, or step up as team captain. A teacher or advisor confirms the role and your term.

1. 1Elected or appointed to a role — teacher or advisor confirms it in writing
2. 2Complete one full term or major project in the role — summarise what you did for others
3. 3Write a handover brief for your successor — demonstrate the role outlasted your involvement
