What verifying involves
Read the proof
A builder submits an artifact against a milestone — a repo, a recording, a document, a result. You look at what they actually produced.
Say what convinced you
Approving asks you to write what specifically makes you believe the work is real and meets the standard. A rubber stamp is not a verification.
A few minutes per review
You are notified inside Powstik. There is no queue quota, no response-time target, and no penalty for reviewing slowly or declining.
How standing is earned
Everyone starts as a new verifier and can review straight away. Standing is not granted at signup and cannot be bought or applied for — it accumulates only as your verifications hold up over time. If a verification you signed off is later revoked, standing goes back down.
Capstone and safeguarding-flagged proofs can only be signed off from Established verifier upward. Everything else is open to you from your first review.
What Powstik does and does not claim about you
- Signing in proves you control that Google, GitHub or LinkedIn account. Powstik shows this as verified identity — nothing more.
- Your title, affiliation and professional link are shown as self-declared. Powstik checks only that the link resolves — never who you are or what you do.
- Nothing is read from your LinkedIn, GitHub or any other profile page beyond what you consented to share when signing in.
