Meet Eligibility and Complete Exam Preparation

Document your eligibility for a recognised project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or equivalent): log the required hours of project leadership experience and education, and apply to the certifying body. Complete a structured study plan covering the certification's core knowledge areas — for PMP this means the PMBOK domains; for PRINCE2 this means the seven principles, themes, and processes. Use at least one practice exam and document your baseline and improved scores.
Proof required
Submit your eligibility application confirmation from the certifying body, study plan with progress log (min 40 study hours documented), and practice exam results showing a baseline score and an improved score after study. A study partner or study group must confirm at least five joint study sessions.

What a verifier looks for

Pass the Certification Exam

Sit and pass the certification exam. Submit your official exam result as proof — the pass certificate, digital badge, or official result notification from the certifying body. Reflect on which knowledge areas were hardest in the exam and how that compares to your practice exam preparation.
Proof required
Submit the official exam pass result (certificate, Credly badge URL, or certifying body result notification) plus a brief reflection (min 200 words) comparing your hardest exam areas to your study preparation — what would you study differently?
What gets checked
- Official pass result is from the certifying body — not a third-party course completion
- Reflection is honest about gaps — identifies areas that were harder in the exam than in practice
- Reflection draws a specific lesson for future certification preparation
Common mistakes
- Submitter stops at the course completion certificate rather than sitting the actual certification exam
- Reflection is generic — does not identify specific knowledge gaps revealed by the exam
- Preparation reflection is only positive — the exam is treated as a success story with no learning

Apply Certification Learning on a Live Project
13 weeks
Apply at least three specific techniques or frameworks from the certification (e.g. earned value management, stakeholder register, risk response planning, change control board) to a live project within 90 days of passing. Document how each technique was applied, what outcome it produced, and how you would apply it differently next time. Present your application reflections to a peer PM group or manager.
Proof required
Submit application notes for at least three techniques (one page each, covering the technique used, how it was applied, what outcome it produced, and what you'd do differently), plus confirmation from a peer PM group or manager that you presented and discussed the reflections.
What gets checked
- Three distinct certification techniques are applied — not the same technique three times
- Each application note describes a real project outcome — not a hypothetical application
- Reflection on what to do differently is specific — not 'apply it more consistently'
Common mistakes
- Techniques are applied nominally — submitter names them but cannot describe the actual outcome
- Reflection is written but not shared — the learning stays private and is not tested by peers
- Three applications are the same technique in three contexts — the range of learning is narrow
