Allied Health Sciences

Observe. Assess. Reflect. Build a placement portfolio that proves what you can do.

Whether you're training in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, radiography, or dietetics, the foundation is the same: observe patients under qualified supervision before you assess them, assess them using validated tools before you intervene, and reflect on every clinical encounter. This path covers the shared foundations common to all allied health disciplines. The specific clinical skills are in your discipline's placement portfolio — this path is what you build across disciplines.

Required foundation. Complete a structured observation placement across ≥2 allied health settings (physiotherapy, OT, speech therapy, radiography, dietetics — any combination). Document ≥8 patient contacts per setting with observations and reflections. Signed off by the clinical placement supervisor at each setting. Clinical observation across multiple disciplines precedes active patient assessment.

Evidence-Based Practice Application

Elective.
