Write a one-sentence thesis statement and a complete outline for a 5-paragraph essay: introduction (hook + background + thesis), three body paragraphs (each with a topic sentence, 3 supporting details, and a transition), and a conclusion (restate thesis + so-what). A parent or teacher reviews the outline for completeness and logical flow before the student begins drafting.
Proof required
Submit a written outline showing: the thesis statement, introduction structure, topic sentences and 3 supporting points for each of 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion plan — with a parent or teacher note confirming the thesis is arguable and the supporting points are distinct.
What gets checked
- Thesis statement is arguable — it makes a claim that someone could disagree with, not a statement of obvious fact
- Each body paragraph has a distinct topic sentence (not just three ways of saying the same thing)
- 3 supporting points per body paragraph are specific enough to write full sentences from
