Scale to 50+ Users and Defend at Oral Examination

24 weeks · 3 milestones

Deploy through a documented institutional partnership to at least 50 real community users, measure real-world outcomes, write a 4000-word Extended Essay grounded in your project's own primary evidence, and defend the full four-year project in an oral examination with an independent external examiner. Proof requires: partnership documentation, usage evidence for 50 core-task completions, an impact report, the final Extended Essay, and an examination record with challenge questions.

Deploy your V2.0 (or a production-ready version) to a defined community of at least 50 users through a documented partnership with a school, community organisation, NGO, local government unit, or public institution. The partnership must be genuine: a letter, email, or signed agreement from an organisation representative confirms they have given their community access to your product. Usage evidence must show that 50 distinct real people completed the core task at least once — not sign-ups, downloads, or passive exposure. If your deployment reaches people under 18, work with your school and the partner organisation to put appropriate consent and data handling procedures in place before collecting any usage data.

Proof required

Submit: (1) partnership documentation — a letter, email, or signed agreement from an organisation representative naming the organisation, confirming access to their community, and dated; (2) usage evidence showing at least 50 distinct real users completing the core task (session logs, analytics with event tracking on the core task, or a written confirmation from the partner organisation's representative); and (3) a written attestation from your faculty supervisor confirming the deployment is live.

What gets checked

  • Partnership documentation names a real, independent organisation and a real contact person — not a family connection or personal network; the organisation should have a verifiable public identity
  • Usage evidence is specific to core task completion by 50 distinct users — not total reach, download count, or social media exposure; 'approximately 50 people saw a demonstration' does not count
  • If deployment included under-18 users, the faculty attestation confirms that appropriate consent procedures were followed before data collection
