Gather 5 pieces of writing you have produced in the last 12 months — emails, reports, proposals, articles, documentation, or messages. For each, assess it against three criteria: clarity (could a reader understand the main point in one read?), concision (does every sentence earn its place?), and structure (does the reader know where they are and where they are going?). Rate each piece 1–5 on each criterion and write a 200-word diagnosis of your single most consistent weakness across all 5 pieces.
Proof required
Submit your writing audit: 5 real pieces of your own writing (or representative excerpts of at least 200 words each) with three-criterion ratings (clarity / concision / structure, each 1–5) and a one-sentence specific observation per criterion per piece. Append a 200-word diagnosis naming your single most consistent weakness with evidence from at least 3 of the 5 pieces.
What gets checked
- 5 real pieces of your own writing — not examples by others, not hypothetical drafts, not polished work that doesn't reflect your natural output
- Ratings are differentiated across pieces — all 5 pieces rated identically on all 3 criteria suggests the rubric was applied mechanically
- Diagnosis names one specific weakness (e.g. 'burying the main point in the third paragraph', 'using passive voice to hedge claims') rather than a category ('I write unclearly')
