3 milestones

Pick one software tool you intend to master — this milestone applies to any complex creative, analytical, or productivity tool (Figma, Adobe Photoshop or Premiere, Excel or Google Sheets, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, AutoCAD, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent). Follow the official documentation or a published tutorial to build a project that uses at least three features beyond the most basic. For Figma this means components + variants + auto layout, not just shapes. For Excel this means INDEX-MATCH or XLOOKUP + pivot tables + conditional formatting, not just SUM. The resulting file must be exportable and submittable.

Proof required

Submit the named software tool and a link or file export of the tutorial project you reproduced, alongside a 100-word written description naming each intermediate feature you used and why it was necessary — not what the feature does, but why the tutorial required it at that specific step. A screen recording of you building the project is strongly encouraged but not required for this milestone.

What gets checked

  • The tool is named and the exported project file or screenshot is identifiable as work in that specific tool — a written description without an artefact does not satisfy this milestone
  • At least three features beyond the most basic are named in the written description with a brief explanation of why each was necessary — listing feature names alone without situational context does not demonstrate understanding
  • The project is complete and functional in the tool's own terms — a Figma file where the component links are broken, or an Excel workbook where the formulas return errors, does not satisfy this milestone
